Our fall session begins on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Deeper Life is our Wednesday evening program held during the school year (August through May) that provides educational opportunities for the whole family. Children up to 6th grade meet with caring teachers and other kids their age to gain a foundation for Biblical knowledge. Youth in 7th through 12th grade share in the opportunity to worship and meet in small groups with caring and qualified mentors. And adults have the opportunity to choose from a variety of electives to aid in Christian living and discipleship. Each Wednesday night begins with a meal served in the Connection Cafe allowing people to fellowship before attending their specific session. Food and fellowship begins around 6 pm. Nursery, Children and Youth classes begin at 6:30 pm. Adult Electives begin at 6:45 pm.
Adult Electives: Getting to Know God This class, led by Jeff Gill, will attempt to answer your questions about God, the Father-Son-Holy Spirit as revealed by scripture. The initial weeks will be the final of the Summer Oasis study, "The TRUE Story of God" focusing on the Church and its Mission and concluding with Endurance and Perseverance. "Questions" will be the emphasis of the study as we attempt to answer thoughts and ponderings you have as well as discussing issues of current events in our world. Video, Special Guests and especially the Bible will be used to help us in Getting to Know God! Men's Prayer Meeting You won't want to miss this opportunity to pause during the week and focus your thoughts, concerns, and plans on God. Come join us for a time to share and lift up prayers and praises to our Heavenly Father. We will be using this hour to pray for each other, our leaders, individual members of our church, and other concerns we are presented with. Acts This class, led by Daniel Koch, will be studying the beginnings of the Church according to Luke's account of the events immediately following Jesus' Ascension into Heaven - the book of Acts. See how the early followers of Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, established the Church and began a worldwide mission to share the gospel of Christ. Join us as we study these early foundations that have shaped the way we worship today.
